The excavation company that shows its math
First Coast Excavation exists because getting a straight excavation number in Jacksonville takes three voicemails and a week of waiting. We publish the prices, answer the phone and plan the water before the digging.
What we believe about this work
Excavation is a trade where the customer can rarely check the work until it is too late to argue. That imbalance is why the industry quotes in black boxes and why so many First Coast projects end in change orders. Our answer is boring transparency: a public cost guide, quotes that point at the row they came from and site factors explained standing on the site.
We also believe most bad excavation outcomes around Jacksonville are water stories. The soil here is forgiving; the groundwater is not. So the walk-through spends more time on where water sits, where it flows and what season the job should run than on anything else. When the honest answer is that your project costs less in the dry months, you hear that, even though it delays our revenue.
The team quoting your job is the team on the machines. We keep the service list short on purpose: emergency dig-outs, site prep, clearing, ponds and trenching, done often enough that the published ranges stay honest. Work outside that list gets a referral, not an experiment billed at your expense.
Where we work
